Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy or "talk therapy", is where the counselor and the client (s) discuss
the symptom and issues that are causing the client difficulty. Together we develop a
treatment plan to address these issues. The client is an active part of the process,
with the counselor being the facilitator and guide as they work through the issues in
positive and healthy ways

Our Services
Education on coping skills as well a relaxation are offered to help client take control
of their anxiety and self defeating thoughts. The counselor is also able to offer
education to clients about their diagnosis and how their medication may be working
to assist them. Though the counselor does not prescribe, she will work with the
client and their psychiatrist to help monitor and encourage appropriate usage of the
prescribed medications.
Counselors are knowledgeable about the community and resources that may be
appropriate to meet the clients need. From health services to financial services,
counselors will be able to assess client's needs and refer them if it is appropriate.
Clients may at times experience economic stresses that aggravate their mental
issues, by addressing these immediate needs it frees the client to work on the
clinical issues.
